Redoing movie posters in my style.

Custom one-sheet film poster for Steven Spielberg's classic suspense JAWS.

This one uses bits and pieces from all over the place. The surface is one photograph heavily manipulated to erase people from it, the boat is a promo shot from the film (with brand new reflection), the clouds are a separate photo, the shark is a still shot, the light is a heavily blurred "underwater" blue with light streaks and finally the gritty texture over top of it to complete the "dirty" look of mine. The JAWS logo is taken from a .eps file and given a gradient texture with shadow.

I was originally gonna go for the normal blue tint for the film, but this happened on accident and I loved it. Something different for such a classic film.

This was done for fun and as a test of my skills. It'll be put up on my website in hopes of enticing people in the poster design community to contact me.

UPDATE: Tweaked two small things and added a dingy behind the boat. I completely forgot about it!

JAWS and the JAWS Logo are (c)Universal Pictures.

The originals a total classic but this takes its best design element, the shark where you can only see its teeth, and turns it into a real horror poster, very cool!

Man, if Spielberg saw this, he would've thought, " Aw man, that would've been my choice cause it gives that ' something big and fast is lurking beneath the dark water ' feel."
There are a lot of CGI shark movies in the nineties that despise the fake feel, nothing can't surpass a remake of Jaws.

I saw Jaws just over a month ago I think. Now, I think I'm a bit more... not "scared" of sharks, I think I just give them a little more credit. BRUCE FOREVER! :)
